Celebrated the mooncake festival at school on friday night... i had never stayed later in rj before. there weren't that many stars in the sky and the moon wasn't exceptionally bright either. but we got to raise these really huge lanterns into the sky... they were so pretty! it was like all of a sudden the ebony ceiling birthed a thousand moons, whose brillance overwhelmed the subdued twinkle of the distant stars. haha. poetic. they say the first and the brightest star u see every night's actually a planet. i've always remembered from some forgotten unscientific source tt it's venus... but alvintan says its mars. hmm. logically speaking, chances are he's right. it looks kinda red anyway. so i was wrong for 17-7=10 years. funny how some ideas just seem so plainly true to you tt u live by them like u knew all along, until one day u find out tt u're actually wrong. nothing drastic comes out of it, but tt's the weird part. like things tt u once thought meant so much to you suddenly dont matter anymore.

i made mooncakes too. haha. the first joint effort between shiyan and i was pretty much an unidentifiable green glob with yucky artery-clogging salted egg yolk inside. plus we didnt wash our hands after pe. but alvintan ate it for 2 bucks all the same. our second one was so professional :) haha. WE ate that. of course we washed our hands before making tt. anyway then i made another one to take home and evryone said it was yummy. voila. i'm on my way to earn my four Michelin stars.

on saturday i was out the whole day with my aunt... watched legally blonde 2. it was cheesy but cheery. after tt we did more girly stuff like spending an hour in mini-toons getting cutesy japanesey knick-knacks for my cousin (okay. and ourselves) i got a red cat purse and pouch and powerpuff sweets.

gave my sunday to yahoo games. gotta start muggin soooooooooooon..... today perhaps?

hmm... today's the first day of september... funny! i didn't hear the bells go at 12 noon. i've always wondered where the chime comes from.

yawn. just got back from my cousin's wedding banquet at the hyatt... boy am i full.
what's partying in my tummy now:
1) appetiser - grand platter
2) sharks fin (guilt paralyses me. i've stuck to my "sharks-are-friends-not-food" resolve for TWO YEARS already.)
3) roast chicken with walnuts
4) steamed grouper
5) abalone and mushroom and veggies
6) broccoli and mushrooms
7) drunken prawns (my bro was so nice he peeled them for me :))
8) glutinous rice and ginseng chicken
9) green tea fruit cocktail jelly
plus take-home mooncakes.
burp. oh my cousin and i did our moms' makeup and picked their outfits and shoes...haha my aunt looked like she jumped into a vat of glitter.... but i thought she was unsually glam :) and i tried on a new pair of magenta crystaly-dangly earrings and purple eyecolour... dressing up was fun.
